July 05, 2020: Tested positive after their return from Algeria, enigmatic contamination of around twenty binationals

Twenty bi-nationals recently returned from Algeria tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in France. They are, according to French infectiologists quoted by local media, admitted to hospitals in France, some of which are in serious condition.

July 05, 2020: COVID-19 cases of patients arriving from Algeria raise fears of a resumption of the pandemic in France

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune mentioned the number of 32 daily flights. Departures are from several Algerian cities to several destinations in France. Several thousand Europeans and foreign residents in France have left Algeria.
But since last weekend, these flights, carried out without health control on boarding, have worried in France. The cause ? The discovery of around twenty cases among people who had just returned from Algeria.

July 05, 2020: Kasserine – Three Guineans who illegally crossed the Tunisian-Algerian border are infected with the coronavirus

The results of laboratory analyzes on 9 samples belonging to recently arrived African immigrants in the state of Kasserine, smuggling across the Tunisian-Algerian border, accompanied by a number of citizens of the entity residing abroad ( second analyzes) were published yesterday Saturday. July 04, 2020: The endless wait of Algerians stranded abroad

Toufik Makhloufi’s cry of anger, blocked in South Africa for four months, has once again brought to the fore the issue of Algerian nationals stranded abroad.
Like him, there are many, several hundred, perhaps a few thousand, who cannot return to the country. The only statistics available are those of Algerians who have been repatriated since the end of March. July 04, 2020: 13 illegal immigrants arrested in Tunisia from the Algerian border

Tunisian border guard units arrested 13 illegal immigrants near Bouchbaka, in the northwest of Kasserine province. The Saudi news agency reported that a security source in the governorate said in a statement today that the migrants had crossed the Algerian border into Tunisia, and that they were in a private car, adding that legal measures had been taken against them, and sent them back to quarantine, to take samples for analysis, and verify if they have Corona virus or not. It should be noted that the total number of African and Arab immigrants arriving on the Algerian side of Kasserine these days has reached 65 so far.

July 03, 2020: What solutions for overloading hospitals?

As indicated by the country’s health authorities, the number of COVID-19 contaminations reached 15070 cases this Friday, July 3, since the start of the crisis in Algeria. The weight of this figure is heavy to bear for hospitals which indicate, in certain wilayas, a bed occupancy rate approaching 100% in terms of services dedicated to the care of patients with Coronavirus. To try to resolve this urgent problem of overloading, the authorities must turn to alternative solutions.
