Tebboune orders the gradual reopening of beaches and mosques.

The Head of State, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a meeting of the High Security Council on Monday, 3 August.

During the meeting, Mr. Tebboune ordered the scheduling of the gradual reopening of mosques in the country’s major cities with respect to measures to protect against the coronavirus (Covid-19). This decision concerns mosques that can accommodate more than 1,000 worshippers.

The High Security Council also decided to prepare for the gradual and gradual reopening of beaches for holidaymakers while maintaining protective measures against the Coronavirus.

The reopening of parks, gardens and rest areas for citizens was also discussed at the meeting.

In this regard, the Head of State instructed the heads of the security services to ensure the proper implementation of the instructions for protection against COVID-19.

As a reminder, mosques and parks were closed last March following the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Algeria.
