Eid El fitr will be celebrated on Thursday, May 13 in Morocco

The Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs announced, this evening, Wednesday, that the blessed Eid al-Fitr falls in Morocco tomorrow, Thursday, May 13, corresponding to Fateh Shawwal, 1442 AH, so that the holy month of Ramadan lasted only 29 days. . The ministry said in a statement that it was monitoring the crescent of the month of Shawwal after Morocco today, and contacted all chiefs and representatives of Islamic affairs in the Kingdom, as well as the units of the Royal Armed Forces that contribute to the monitoring of the crescent. The source added that they all assured him that the sighting of the Shawwal crescent has been proven. As a result, the month of Ramadan ends on the 29th and Eid al-Fitr, which is the first month of Shawwal, falls on Thursday 13 May 2021.

Curfew from 8pm to 6am maintained for the next two days after the Eid

In a statement issued at the end of the Government Council held on Wednesday 12 May, the Head of Government announced that the health restrictions imposed during Ramadan will be maintained during the next two days of Eid, including the curfew from 8pm to 6am.

Saad-Eddine El Othmani also announced the maintenance of restrictions on inter-city travel. He also called on citizens to be more cautious during these holy days, to avoid a further increase in cases of contamination.
