Official: 5-day self-isolation for Moroccans or foreign residents in Morocco from B-list countries

The Ministry of Health updated on Monday the sanitary provisions for international travel.

Here are the planned measures:

1. Common measures:

– Passenger health form, to be downloaded online before boarding (also distributed on board the aircraft or ship), duly filled in, including the passenger’s address and two telephone numbers enabling him or her to be located, if necessary, during the 10 days following his or her arrival on the national territory;

– Compliance with the measures introduced in Morocco: wearing a mask outside, physical distancing and hand hygiene.

2. List A countries:

– A certificate attesting that the person is fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines listed below;

OR

– For persons not or incompletely vaccinated, a negative PCR test dating back less than 72 hours (time between sampling and boarding).

3. List B countries:

– For fully vaccinated persons :

    •  A certificate stating that the person is fully vaccinated with one of the following vaccines;

AND

    •  A negative PCR test less than 48 hours old (time between sampling and boarding);

– For persons not or incompletely vaccinated :

    • A negative PCR test less than 48 hours old (time between sampling and boarding);

AND

o 10-day controlled quarantine, at the expense of the person concerned, in one of the facilities previously designated by the local authorities, with a control PCR test on the 9th day;

For Moroccan citizens or persons originating from Morocco: self-isolation at home for 5 days, with a screening test (rapid antigenic or PCR) on day 5.

NB: – Children under 11 years of age are exempt from the PCR screening test, regardless of their origin.

– A person is considered fully vaccinated after 2 weeks of the last required dose.

List of vaccines accepted in Morocco:

– Astrazeneca-SK Bio;

– Sinopharm;

– Sputnik;

– Pfizer/BioNTech;

– Janssen (Johnson & Johnson);

– Covishield (Serum Institute of India);

– Moderna;

– Sinovac.
