Extension of the state of emergency until November 10, 2020

The Council of Government, meeting this Thursday 8 October, decided to extend the state of health emergency until 10 November 2020 at 18:00.

As with the previous stages, all the preventive and repressive measures taken within the framework of the state of health emergency will remain in force and will be adapted whenever circumstances require.

The decree extending the state of public health emergency confers on the walis and governors, on the basis of available data concerning the epidemic situation in each province, the right to take all procedural measures necessary to preserve public health order, whether of a predictive, preventive or protective nature.

Such measures include among others imposing an optional or compulsory health containment order or temporary restrictions to encourage people to stay in their homes; limiting their movement, prohibiting their assembly, or closing premises open to the public or deciding on any other measure falling within the competence of the administrative police.
