Casablanca: curfew at 10 pm, restrictions announced (Official)

In a press release issued by the government on September 06, 2020 several measures in the prefecture of Casablanca were announced. These measures will be effective from noon on 7 September and aim to contain the spread of the new Coronavirus.

The measures announced are :

The submission of travel to and from Casablanca to an exceptional travel document granted by the local authorities.

Closure of all educational institutions, at primary, college, secondary and university levels, in addition to the adoption of distance education.

Local markets will be closed from 3 p.m. onwards.

Shops will close at 20:00, restaurants will close at 21:00.

In addition, a curfew will apply from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., while allowing the movement of health and safety workers and those operating in vital and sensitive sectors, such as those involved in the transport of goods. The condition issued by the government is that these people must have proof of their night work.
